Description
Introduction to Engineering Little Labs
Intro to Engineering is a beginners kit to encourage young children to understand how scientific knowledge is used by engineers to design and build anything from cars to parachutes to rockets.
The 25 hands-on experiments begin by teaching engineering basics with experiments on levers, forces, and pulleys before moving on to examine vehicles with wheels, such as a race car and a wind-up car. Next, take to the air by building a helicopter, pinwheel, parachute, glider, balloon rocket, and an air-powered carousel. Then on to the sea by making a diving bell, sailboat, and paddle boat.
A 48-page guidebook with step-by-step instructions is included, with suggestions for further engineering experiments.
